This study presents the findings of two independent investigators an in-depth study of the dynamics and processes affecting participation in and diversity of the Yale Law Journal (YLJ). The study was commissioned by Yale Law School and the Journal editors and advisors and is interesting not only for its breakdown of the culture and issues of an elite student-run law publication, but its identification of areas where collaboration with other stakeholders in the law school community (including interested faculty, students, and student organizations) could usefully explore and undertake change.
